Starting November 2016, RESS will have a new course running once per month : BZEE-ELT-16 : Switching authorization 52 kV. This module is aimed at electrical engineers, master electricians and electricians, who carry out maintenance and servicing in the medium voltage range up to 52 kV on wind turbines and who connect and disconnect the turbine from the grid. General Electric Co. announced plans to buy LM Wind Power for $1.65 billion from private equity firm Doughty Hanson. The deal for the Denmark-based maker of rotor blades for wind turbines will bolster GE’s ability to serve the onshore and offshore markets, the Boston-based company said Tuesday in a statement.
